Reseller Hosting Policy

This Reseller Hosting Policy is issued by TrustedHosting.in | Last Updated: 31 October 2025

1. Introduction

This Reseller Hosting Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and responsibilities applicable to all clients who purchase, manage, or operate reseller hosting services provided by TrustedHosting.in. It ensures that every reseller and their downstream clients operate within acceptable standards of performance, compliance, and ethical conduct. By using our reseller, master reseller, or alpha reseller hosting plans, you agree to abide by the provisions stated herein.

2. Purpose of the Policy

The purpose of this policy is to maintain a stable, secure, and legally compliant reseller ecosystem. It defines the boundaries of technical, administrative, and financial responsibilities between TrustedHosting.in and resellers, ensuring that both the provider and downstream clients understand their obligations and liabilities.

3. Scope of Coverage

This policy applies to all reseller plans offered by TrustedHosting.in, including:

  • Reseller Hosting
  • Master Reseller Hosting
  • Alpha Reseller Hosting

Each tier provides different levels of control, account creation privileges, and client management features. Regardless of the tier, all resellers and their sub-users are bound by this policy, our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Service Level Agreement.

4. Reseller Responsibilities

As a reseller, you act as an independent entity responsible for managing your own clients. You must ensure that your customers comply with all TrustedHosting.in policies. Any violation by your downstream client will be considered a violation by you as the primary account holder. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining your own client billing, invoicing, and support systems.
  • Monitoring and addressing abuse reports or technical issues involving your sub-accounts.
  • Ensuring your clients adhere to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
  • Implementing secure password policies, DNS configurations, and backups for your customers.
  • Keeping your reseller WHM and WHMCS installations secure and updated at all times.

5. Downstream Client Management

Resellers are solely responsible for all services provided to their sub-clients. TrustedHosting.in does not manage or provide support directly to reseller clients unless an authorized escalation request is submitted by the reseller. You are expected to provide first-level technical support, billing assistance, and service guidance to your customers. Failure to provide timely support to downstream users may result in account suspension or removal of reseller privileges.

6. Licensing and Software Responsibility

Any third-party software, such as WHMCS or ClientExec, included or purchased with reseller plans, is licensed under specific terms. Resellers must ensure license compliance, renewal, and proper configuration of all such software. Shared or redistributed license keys are strictly prohibited. Misuse, piracy, or modification of licensed software constitutes a violation of this policy and will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

7. Abuse Handling and Compliance

Resellers must promptly address abuse incidents originating from their sub-accounts, including spam, malware hosting, copyright violations, phishing, or DDoS attacks. Abuse reports must be acted upon within 24 hours of notice. Failure to act may lead to account-level suspension. TrustedHosting.in reserves the right to suspend any sub-account that violates our Acceptable Use Policy or causes network harm without prior notice to the reseller if immediate intervention is required to protect infrastructure stability.

8. Account Suspension and Termination

If a downstream client fails to comply with our policies or uses their account for illegal or abusive activities, the reseller must immediately suspend or remove the offending account. Repeated policy violations by multiple sub-clients may lead to permanent termination of reseller privileges. TrustedHosting.in reserves the right to intervene directly in severe abuse cases, bypassing reseller mediation, to ensure security and compliance with law enforcement obligations.

9. Data Ownership and Backup

Each reseller is responsible for ensuring proper backups for their client accounts. Although TrustedHosting.in provides backup systems on a best-effort basis, the reseller must maintain separate, verified offsite backups. In the event of data loss, corruption, or server failure, TrustedHosting.in is not liable for data restoration unless explicitly covered under an add-on managed backup plan. We strongly recommend that resellers automate weekly backups via WHM or remote storage solutions.

10. Billing and Payment Obligations

Resellers are responsible for maintaining timely payments for their hosting packages. Non-payment, expired credit, or failed renewals can result in suspension of all sub-accounts under the reseller. Sub-clients hosted under a suspended reseller account will remain inaccessible until payment is made. TrustedHosting.in bears no responsibility for revenue loss or downtime experienced by sub-clients due to reseller account suspension.

11. Branding and White-Label Reseller Features

All reseller accounts are provided as white-label services, allowing resellers to brand their offerings using custom nameservers, logos, and client portals. However, resellers must not impersonate TrustedHosting.in or use our brand identity without written consent. Marketing materials, logos, and product descriptions belonging to TrustedHosting.in may not be reused or distributed without authorization.

12. Resource Management and Fair Usage

Resellers must ensure that sub-clients use server resources responsibly. Excessive use of CPU, memory, or disk I/O by any sub-account can affect other customers and may trigger automated limits. You are required to monitor your clients’ usage and migrate resource-intensive users to higher plans or VPS servers if necessary. Continuous overuse or negligence in managing abusive accounts may result in reseller service throttling or termination.

13. Non-Refundable and Lifetime Accounts

Accounts that include promotional offers, free domains, WHMCS licenses, or lifetime validity terms are strictly non-refundable. In the event of account termination due to abuse, legal violations, or non-payment, no refunds or prorated credits will be issued. This applies equally to downstream accounts managed under reseller or alpha reseller programs.

14. Technical Support Levels

TrustedHosting.in provides infrastructure-level support to resellers. This includes server uptime, network management, and platform issues. Application-level support, including website errors, CMS installation, or plugin conflicts, is not covered under our scope of support. Resellers are responsible for offering first-line assistance to their sub-clients and escalating infrastructure issues to our team when necessary.

15. Termination of Reseller Privileges

TrustedHosting.in reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate reseller privileges if:

  • The reseller consistently violates policies or fails to enforce compliance with sub-clients.
  • There are repeated unresolved abuse incidents under the reseller account.
  • Reseller billing or communication remains inactive beyond 30 days.
  • Fraudulent activity, phishing, or impersonation of the company is detected.

Upon termination, all downstream accounts may be deleted from our servers after standard data retention periods unless alternate transfer arrangements are made in advance.

16. No Monetary Compensation Clause

TrustedHosting.in does not provide cash refunds or financial compensation under any circumstances. Compensation for downtime or service issues, if applicable, will be provided only in the form of service extensions in accordance with our Service Level Agreement. Resellers are responsible for handling their own client refunds or credits directly.

17. Legal Compliance and Cooperation

All resellers must cooperate with legitimate requests from law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities in connection with investigations related to their hosted accounts. TrustedHosting.in will comply with such requests in accordance with Indian law and data protection requirements. Any reseller found obstructing or concealing illegal activity may be permanently banned.

18. Policy Updates and Versioning

This Reseller Hosting Policy may be updated periodically to reflect infrastructure improvements, legal compliance, or operational changes. Updates are published on our website and take immediate effect. Continued use of reseller hosting services constitutes acceptance of the latest version of this policy.
